Centerless grinding wheels

Centerless grinding allows to work with high precision cylindrical pieces in different diameters.
The piece to be machined is held with the rotation axis parallel to the two wheels
and this allows high stock removal combined with high precision and low tolerances.

Working wheels shapes T1 – T5 – T7

On the machine the working wheel turns very fast and makes the stock removal on the parts. Generally they are used in three different shapes (T1 – T5 – T7) which vary depending on the number and the sizes of the recess.

Regulating wheels

On the machine the regulating wheel turns very slowly. They have to make the part rotate, pushing it against the working wheel, letting it remove the material. Like the working wheels also the regulating wheels are available in different shapes, depending on the number and the sizes of the recess.

Through feed centerless grinding

Wheels for through feed centerless grinding are available for different materials: steel (soft and high alloy, hardened, chrome plated), cast iron, titanium, non ferrous metals and industrial ceramics. The thickness is upon request and can be different depending on the machine where they are used. Also for plunge centerless grinding Molemab provides several specifications for different materials to be ground: steel (soft and high alloyed, hardened, chrome plated), cast iron, titanium, non ferrous metals and industrial ceramics. Shape and sizes are upon request and can vary depending on the working conditions and the shape of the part to be ground.
