Internal (I.D.) grinding wheels

These wheels are used for finishing cylindrical or conical bores. They can be supplied in different specifications depending on the material to be ground: soft or hard steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non ferrous metals.

The range of applications converting to the use of small CBN and diamond grinding wheels is steadily increasing. This change is facilitated by: improved tool set-ups due to HSK clampings that allow grinding wheels to be clamped directly on the machine spindle and the use of materials such as carbide for making pins. This significantly improves rigidity during the grinding process and, consequently, part accuracy and process economy.
